I’ve been wondering about the blogger today. Who is he or she? Our topics could quite literally be on anything. What we have in common is our interest in sharing what we’ve learned, what we ponder, our struggles, our successes.
In our world of instant communication, we do this with the word, structured as it has been written for decades, unabbreviated, punctuated, and assembled in a sentence, in it’s entirety. Something traditional wrapped inside the latest technology.
I view this as a journal. No, more than that. It’s something like my walking down to the town square, climbing up on my soap box, and declaring my thoughts to the world. They will float out for a moment, be witnessed by a few, and then roll along and become vapor. The difference here is that should someone be interested, he or she can witness the musing of the past, too. That has some value to it, I think.
What drives you, pulls you, inspires you to blog?
Namaste, my friends.
