The dance between

I found this meme rolling through my feed this morning. I completely understand her decision to avoid politics. It is the stuff of manipulation, distraction, greed, and so much more. Right now the strategy to divide and conquer has never been more abused. Mother Teresa wanted to focus on her mission. No one can blame her for that.

I too, have struggled with the conflict between peace and justice. When one is fighting for justice, there is no peace. It is the lack of peace that propels you to want to fight for equity. It is that lack of peace that is the fuel to do the hard work. The dangerous work. The thankless work. The work that sometimes is unsupported by the masses.

This is what I keep going back to: It’s easy to be all zen on the top of a mountain, all alone. Big deal. The challenge is to figure out how to be zen among your family, your friends, co-workers, and your community.

You figure that out, and you’ve really got something.

I think integration is the one big remaining hurdle. I think the only way to accomplish this is by the constant conscious practice of love.

That simply means, choose love.

Choose love as every response.
As every action.
As the foundation for every decision.

Have love be the constant driving principal of your existance.
The answers will come.

Namaste, my friends.
